Jay’s favorite hockey things since the last show:

Where are you going, Bo?: Bo Byram’s debut on Buffalo’s PP1 almost needed the Benny Hill theme music over the top of it. If you’re on X make sure to read the comments as well. Some great stuff in there.

Patrick Roy is a man of the people: Patrick Roy makes sure to take care of the fan behind the Islanders bench who is wearing a vintage Patrick Roy Avalanche t-shirt. Good hockey stuff.

Things on the Internet Which We Encourage You Should Click On

Jay is hoping Nathan MacKinnon gets his confidence back soon after listening to AvsCast Episode #24.  Shout out to Ryan and Ron for the shout out.

Six former Avalanche players were named to the NHL’s top 100 players as the league celebrates their 100th anniversary.  The most notable players were Hall of Famers Joe Sakic, Patrick Roy, and Peter Forsberg.

Here’s the rest of the NHL100 list including other former Avs players (who you can filter for): Ray Bourque, Teemu Selanne, and Jari Kurri.

Sportnet’s Jonathan Willis presents sensible Avalanche rebuild ideas/moves.

Sportsnet documents BIG dips in television ratings this season.  Whoa.

Mikko Rantanen made it rain (hats) at Pepsi Center on February 6.  This was his first career hat trick and hopefully the first of many more.

 

Jay closely watched/stalked Canadiens goaltender Carey Price during the hat trick game.  He was definitely impressed.  Check out the details here.
