Hello again Avalanche fans, James and I need your help. Based on the performances of our favorite NHL team over the past 20 games it’s very difficult trying to find topics to talk about. Game recaps and discussion about those games used to take up the majority of our show, but lately there’s simply nothing to talk about. Game recaps about loss after loss would be pretty much pointless. This is where you come in. We need your support in helping us come up with topics to discuss on our upcoming podcast.
So…what would you like us to talk about? Is there a question or two that you’d like us to answer? Anything you’re wondering about us that you’d like to know? Have a question about jerseys? Well, I guess one thing you could talk about is memories of better times. Like they had the tweet your favorite Avs memory event recently.
Or you could go the other way. I know I have heard some people say they were around for the old Rockies, and that their performance was to put it kindly, poor. Maybe compare and contrast Denver’s two NHL teams – have the Avs slipped to being worse than the old Rox?
Also – jersey fouls. I heard you talking about them in the last few episodes I listened to, and I have seen some discussion on other sites about them. Maybe discuss more about what constitutes a jersey foul. I saw it mentioned that wearing a team which is not playing is considered a foul. What about teams that recently deceased? And do the rules change if you are attending a non-NHL game?
But jersey foul or not, I rather like wearing my Avs jersey to our AHL games. Waited 15 years to finally get the one I wanted, gonna get good use out of it. (Plus, it is the closest I will probably get to feeling like I am actually at an Avs game for awhile. Only seem to be able to get up to Denver around playoff time, and that doesn’t look like it will be happening for awhile…)
Maybe you guys can talk about hitting the reset button on the franchise as a whole, not specifically the ins and outs of the roster but the entire “avalanche experience”.
A trip to the Pepsi center has become pretty forgettable. Scoreboard, music, entertainment, pre-game events, Altitude, season ticket-holder perks, fan fests, the practice facility at Family Sports etc…
The GM may have a gameplan in terms of personnel and what they want to do with youth going forward etc… but it seems like they are perfectly content to let the infrastructure of the business to remain the same. There seems to be no proactive approach to the organizational entertainment outside of what’s on the ice.
